My child is entering her third year at New Hope Academy. She likes the small atmosphere and the personal attention that teachers give her. I went from having a child who hated school to a child who looks forward to her school day. I am impressed with the level of learning and the opportunities the children have. From the foreign language program and the in-depth music program to the dance program, I am seeing opportunities that were not available in her last school. I am very happy with our experience.

Our children have been attending New Hope Academy for nine years now. They love it! The teachers, staff and other parents are a community that come together to teach, nurture and provide a safe environment that is free of teasing and bullying. We also appreciate the diverse backgrounds of the faculty and students. I highly recommend New Hope Academy for families who are looking for a school that offers technology, math, science, PE and promotes experiences through the arts, music, writing, drama, and dance.

I have worked at many schools throughout the years. But the time I spent at New Hope Academy as a fifth grade teacher was by far one of the most rewarding experiences of my teaching career. The students were eager to learn , the atmosphere was conducive to learning; and the staff was like a second family.

We believe that access to education has the potential to prevent sexual abuse and re-abuse. Our scholarship program provides educational opportunities for young women affected by sexual violence. Our scholars are high school and university students passionate about using their education and careers to end sexual violence.

Also, congrats to the 400 Free Relay (Piper Enge, Gracyn Kehoe, Alexa McDevitt and Clare Watson) on breaking the school record with an All-American consideration time of 3:29.04. The previous school record was set last season and this record bettered the previous time by 3+ seconds. What an incredible feat! Way to go, ladies!

Finally, a special moment of recognition for today's 200 Medley Relay - Clare Watson, Piper Enge, Isabel Peng, and Gracyn Kehoe - for breaking the school record during the meet. The previous school record was 10 years old and a state record at the time it was set. This relay combo shaved TWO FULL seconds off the previous relay. This is an incredible accomplishment at any time, but a very special achievement during a dual meet. Congratulations, ladies, for this special performance.

Great meet today! I loved seeing some of you battle through being tired from a long week of training, school and just life. Congrats to Gracyn (200 IM, 100 Breast), Alexa (50 Free, 100 Fly, 100 Back), and Clare (200 Free, 100 Back) for new state cuts today! For her great performances during the meet, Rebecca Jack earned today's gold cap! So so many good performances. Really a nice put together today from the team. Also, welcome to Coach Elysse! Coach Elysse will be helping us out as she is able for the remainder of the season. We are excited to have her with us.

The pool opens for warmup at 3pm/as soon as you arrive AFTER school dismisses. DO NOT LEAVE CLASS EARLY FOR THE MEET. I have gotten too many notices from the school admin regarding this issue: Athletes leaving class early for the meet will be held out of the Bellevue meet next week. Please get to the pool as quickly as possible after school dismisses. We will start diving at 3:30pm, so that means the pool will close from warmup at 3:25pm. Figure out TONIGHT how to be best organized to get to the pool and prepared to compete tomorrow - don't want until after school.

Out of class at 2:20pm tomorrow! NO EARLIER THAN 2:20pm! I got a list of athletes who abused the out of class time last week from the school and going forward, you will be held out of meets if you leave class earlier than permitted.

Friday practices: Just a reminder - morning practices are for those who have other plans in the afternoon that cannot be moved (appts, band, school related requirements, club practice/other activities). We are getting close to have too many athletes at the morning workouts and space is getting tight. Last Friday, we had a very large number of athletes at practice - I am hoping that will not be the case tomorrow unless it is absolutely necessary for you to attend. Remember - morning practices have three lanes, afternoon practices have all six! We will end Friday afternoon practice tomorrow at 5pm. Thanks for making every effort to come in the afternoon, if you are able.

GREAT showing by the team this weekend at the Sea-King District 2 meet! We finished with an incredible effort for the entire team and a 2nd place overall result to show! District Champs include Brooke Andrews (Diving) and Piper Enge (200 IM and 100 breast). Piper reset her school record in the 100 breast and swam the 2nd fastest 100 breast in state history. Gold cap for finals went to Isabel Peng and also all four divers - diving was our highest scoring team event of the meet. Team energy is at a great level! I will post the state lineup later this evening to the website once it is released. Great job, team!Updated by Chauntelle on 11/7/2021 at noon.

Lots of outstanding performances today during the meet - so SO many! I am really proud of the season this team is starting to put together. Special recognition to Piper Enge for breaking the school record in the 100 breast again this season AND to Isabel Peng for qualifying for state in the 100 fly!!

Today's meet brought the energy!! SUPER proud of how everyone really tried to kick it up a notch from diving through the 400 free relay today. Great job, team.A few extra notes:Congrats to Piper Enge on being named a WIAA Athlete of the Week! With Piper's swim in the 500 free today, she has also now qualified for state in every individual event this season - giving her Ironwoman status.
